DEA418 — Dental Materials II
3 Credit(s) During this course the students will discuss the study of the physical and chemical composition plus function and manipulation of various dental materials. The course allows students to perform individualized laboratory procedures, evaluation, and application of skills commonly utilize in the dental office. Content includes gypsum, alginate, synthetic resins, and elastomeric impression materials. It also includes the fabrication of provisional restorations, the uses of dental waxes, abrasives, and dental metals in dentistry. This course is a continuation of Dental Materials I.
