BIO186 — Microbiology
4 Credit(s) This course is a survey of microbial forms with an emphasis on bacteria, viruses, and pathogenic eukaryotic microbes. The morphology, physiology, genetic mechanisms and control of microorganisms will be used to examine the pathogenic processes and host immune response. Laboratory investigations will include culturing bacteria, microscopic examination, and other common microbiology laboratory procedures used in the identification of bacteria.
