ITP225 — Web Scripting Languages

3 credit(s) Additional Notes: Comprehensive full-stack web development using HTML/CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS, NodeJS, and MongoDB. Covers MVC and microservices architecture, third-party APIs, OAuth, and cloud deployment to services like Firebase and Back4App. Includes Git/GitHub versioning. Final project deliverable: Students pitch, develop, and present a deployed full-stack application for portfolio use. Introduces students to the principles, systems, and tools used to implement Web applications. Provides students with a comprehensive introduction to the programming tools and skills required to build and maintain interactive Web sites. Students will develop Web applications utilizing client-side and server-side scripting languages along with auxiliary tools needed for complete applications. Lecture 3 hours per week.
