MFGT 118 - Shielded Metal Arc Welding and Syllabus ] MFGT 118 - Shielded Metal Arc Welding 3 Credit Hours In this course students will explore the tools, safety and operating procedures essential when working with Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) equipment. In a supervised setting, students will set up equipment, build weld pads with selected electrodes in both flat and horizontal positions.
