Topics include recognizing key features of deductive and inductive arguments; evaluating arguments in terms of their strength, validity, and soundness; and recognizing various logical fallacies. Source texts are drawn from a variety of cultures and historical periods, and include ideas applicable to current events and students’ life experiences.
