PSY 263 — Educational Psychology

Prerequisites: PSY 150 Corequisites: None Course Descriptions This course examines the application of psychological theories and principles to the educational process and setting. Topics include learning and cognitive theo- ries, achievement motivation, teaching and learning styles, teacher and learner roles, assessment, and developmental issues. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate an under- standing of the application of psychological theory to educational practice. This course has been approved for transfer under the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA) and ICAA as a premajor and/ or elective course requirement.
