Prerequisites: OST 264 Corequisites: None This course provides instruction in the areas of healthcare regulations, medical necessity, health and privacy laws, and compliance practices. Emphasis is placed on regulatory control and compliance issues as well as Medicare regulations re - lated to billing. Upon completion, students should be able to abstract the medi - cal documentation for the purpose of medical necessity and apply regulations that are important in the medical auditing process.
