Social Work
Social workers help people cope with challenges in their lives, from child adoption to terminal illness diagnoses. The field includes bachelor's, clinical, child and family, school, healthcare, and mental health and substance abuse social workers. Advocacy is central to the profession, with social workers raising awareness on behalf of clients at local, state, and national levels. Muskegon CC offers an Associate in Science and Arts (ASA) and a Social Work MI Transfer Pathway (ASA), both designed to prepare students for transfer to four-year programs.
