Physical Therapy

Degree

Physical therapists help injured or ill people improve movement and manage pain, working in clinics, hospitals, homes, and nursing homes. Muskegon Community College offers an Associate's degree designed for transfer to a four-year college or university. A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is required to enter the profession, and all states require licensure. Employment is projected to grow 28% from 2016 to 2026, driven by aging populations and rising chronic conditions.
