This course is intended for students in the health sciences tracks, including pre-majors. The course covers various algebraic operations (incl. literal equations, factoring, roots and non-linear equations, logarithms, and systems of linear equations), graphing, and problem solving as the language of science. The course also emphasizes unit conversions, the metric system, and significant figures. An introduction to the interpretation of data is included. The course also includes an arithmetic competency component.
