This course provides an introduction to Python through the use of basic programming concepts like decisions and loops, data types, input/output statements, strings, dictionaries and tuples. There will also be introductory coverage of object-oriented programming concepts using Python. The course will allow those with no programming experience the ability to learn programming basics through Python and more experienced programmers will be given the opportunity to expand their knowledge with a new programming language. This course is suitable for both CIS and non-CIS majors interested in exposure to one of the most desired languages used in software development, networking, business, science, economics, sociology, data science, health care and other fields.
