Dance Certificate
The Certificate of Achievement in Dance is designed to provide a foundation in dance theory, technique, and aesthetics within a small liberal arts college environment. Students are immersed in a comprehensive program of dance study with a focus on choreography, improvisation, performance, history, and core techniques in commercial and contemporary styles. This two-year concentration and training ground prepares the student for the rigors of teaching within the local studio system, recreational centers, after-school programs, or in opening their own studios. A student’s potential and readiness to embark on a career as a dancer is enhanced through this course of study. When combined with Cal-G
