NRSG2120 — Lab and Sim II
This course is designed to allow students to practice foundational nursing skills and tasks such as head-to-toe assessment, focused assessments, sterile field procedures, safe medication administration, and therapeutic communication in the laboratory and simulation settings. Students will learn how to identify normal versus abnormal assessment data, document and communicate patient conditions, and apply concepts of quality and safety in the care of patients to meet basic human needs. Students will demonstrate application of knowledge and skills learned from Nursing 1100 Foundations, Nursing 1200 Pharmacology I, and Nursing 1300 Mental Health. This course provides 60 hours of laboratory and simulation experience.
