NRSG1110 — Clinical I
This course is designed to introduce students to nursing practice in the clinical setting. Students will demonstrate application of knowledge and skills learned from Nursing 1100 Foundations, Nursing 1120 Lab and Sim I, Nursing 1200 Pharmacology I, and Nursing 1300 Mental Health. Students will further develop skills in critical thinking and clinical judgment as they apply the principles of the nursing process, effective communication with patients, their family members, and other healthcare professionals, and implement therapeutic nursing interventions. This course provides 90 hours of clinical experience in extended care settings.
