ENGL-205 — Creative Writing

0, or successful completion of ACRD-080; Successful completion of ENGL-101 or ENGL-103 with a grade of 2.0 or higher. In this course, students will explore the fundamentals of creative writing in fiction and poetry (and possibly other genres that may include drama, creative nonfiction, graphic short fiction, social media, and screenplays), focusing on essential elements such as character development, dialogue, plot structure, conflict, theme, imagery, and symbolism. Students will participate in writing exercises, peer workshops, and discussions of assigned texts to gain a solid foundation in the craft of writing. Course
