PSYC 1030 - Introduction to Psychology PSYC 1030 - Introduction to Psychology 3 sem hrs cr This is an introductory survey course focused on the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. Topics include the history of psychology, critical thinking and research methods in psychology, the biological and psychological bases of consciousness, sensation, perception, memory, learning, cognition, development across the lifespan, motivation, emotion, sexuality, stress and health, social psychology, personality, psychological disorders, and psychological therapies. This course may include proctored exams which must be completed on campus or at an instructor approved proctoring center which may require additional costs to the student.
