PSF- 8 — Public Administration for Public Safety Leaders
Description: An introduction to the processes of policy formation and implementation. Philosophy and actors in public policy as well as analysis of major case studies in American law, decision making in the public bureaucracy, and administrative tasks will be discussed. In addition to the politics of administrative organizations, personnel management, budget administration, public relations, government service and nonprofit administration careers will be explored. Practicing public administrators will be featured as guest speakers. 54.00 hours lecture. (Letter grade only)
