MDA- 50 — Medical Assisting Core

Description: An introduction to medical assisting. Students will be oriented to the medical office and the role of the medical assistant, with a focus on the health care team, medical law and ethics, professionalism, therapeutic communication, coping/stress management skills, workplace safety, and office emergencies. 36.00 hours lecture.
