DEH- 26 — Dental Treatment of Geriatric and Medically Compromised Patients

Description: This course is designed to meet the state and national accreditation requirements for an approved Dental Hygiene program. This course is designed to introduce the student to the special needs of the geriatric and medically compromised patients. Emphasis will be placed on the value of a thorough evaluation and risk assessment of patients, and determining the need for supplemental laboratory test and medical consultations. 36.00 hours lecture. (Letter grade only)
