MUS M134 — Advanced Contemporary Vocal Ensemble
Provides students the opportunity to study, rehearse, and perform advanced contemporary vocal literature to include jazz and a cappella music. Emphasizes the development of skills needed to perform within a specialized ensemble that performs advance contemporary vocal literature. Introduces advanced vocal techniques in jazz, contemporary, and commercial voice. Expands knowledge of microphone techniques and sound system usage. Possible off-campus performances and local venues. Possible participation in festivals, workshops, and competitions. Annual participation in International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella or Reno Jazz Festival may be required.
