Topics include foundations and purposes of schooling, societal and political issues in education, diverse student populations, school governance and funding, philosophies in education, rights and responsibilities in education, and an introduction to teaching practices and pedagogy Prerequisite: ENG 101 with a ‘C’ or better Search Course Schedule for availability
