HC 1125 — Trained Medication Aide
Trained Medication Aide includes the study of legal requirements of medications and medication administration, general information on medications, terminology, abbreviations, applicable terminology, and an overview of body systems and drug classifications related to medication administration while utilizing designated reference sources. Medications will be administered in the classroom lab via the oral, ocular, rectal, and topical routes. The students will study the ten major body systems and how they are involved in the pharmacology of drug use. Upon completion of the course, and meeting federal and state guidelines, the student will receive a Trained Medication Aide Certificate.
