EDUC 1200 — Introduction to Early Childhood
Introduction to Early Childhood Education provides an overview of the early childhood field, including theories, philosophies, qualities, and regulations. It examines the roles and responsibilities of professionals in a variety of career settings. Reflective practices will address effective communication, collaborative team dynamics, professional behaviors, and informed decision making as they relate to the field of early childhood education. The course work includes 20 hours of field experience. It will be required that all students purchase an Education Minnesota Aspiring Educators (EMAE) membership in order to receive liability insurance coverage for the field experience.
