WBT260 — Advanced Fiber Optics
This course will cover fiber optic topics such as theory, cleaning, troubleshooting, OTDR and optical loss budgets. Characteristics of both singlemode and multimode fiber, as well as fiber optic cable construction will be discussed. Students will also learn FTTx network architecture design considerations. Everything from FTTx systems to FTTx components will be covered. Prerequisite: EC 105, WBT 100, WBT 120, WBT 249
