WILD 1271 — Wilderness and Park Maintenance
| Lecture/Lab This course introduces the student to the basics of front and back country trail, campsite, grounds and facility maintenance. Topics will include site evaluation, planning and design for maintenance efficiency, maintenance standards, and resource/user safety. This course gives the student the opportunity to work with tools and techniques in order to develo p and maintain the wilderness and park resource. Field work will be accomplished primarily through United States Forest Service, Minnesota State Parks and local community projects. Students will obtain traditional tool certification from the United States Forest Service. Prerequisities: PREC 1241
