WELD 1261 — Gas Metal Arc Welding 1
| Lecture/Lab The purpose of this course is to develop skills in welding mild steel with the Gas Metal Arc Welding process. The student will become familiar with associated GMAW principles, equipment, techniques, and related ANSI/AW S Z49.1 safety standards, when welding according to AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code- Steel standards in multiple positions. Student's welding performance will be evaluated with visual inspection (VT) of weld samples per AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code - Steel standards in a work- like environment.
