| Lecture Is feminism a dirty word? What does it mean to be a woman? Women's Studies delves into the s ocial and cultural diversity found among women through an examination of the ways in which gender, race, ethnicity, class, sexual orientation, and physical ability intersect to influence the status of women. The course considers how individuals learn gende r, how culture shapes the way we think about gender, and how law, public policy, and economics affect gender and the struggle for equality.
