| Lecture/Lab This course will develop the student's basic understanding of develop the student's ability to understand the care of the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patient, the newborn, as well as assessment milestones of the well child. This course will specifically develop the student's understanding of various conditions affecting the status of prenatal care, labor and delivery of mother and care of the newborn. The course will also integrate the student learner outcomes, cultural implications and the emotional needs of patients important for providing safe, quality patient centered care.
