| Lecture/Lab This is an introductory course designed to give the student the skills and knowledge necessary for assisting in the care and operation of a dog team. The course includes lecture and field work in dogsledding history, equipment, and technique. Leadership, decision-making, teaching progressions and risk management will be covered as well as managing personal and group safety relating to dogsledding. Dogsledding trip included. (Cross -listed course; students can enroll only in PHED 1134 or OUTL 1134.)
