NSCI 1210 — Physical Science
| Lecture/Lab This is a one semester course that will cover four areas of physical science. The chemistry portion will cover the periodic table, naming compounds and chemical reactions including those contributing to climate change. The physics portion will cover one - dimensional motion, Newton's Laws, conservation of energy and momentum, thermodynamics, electricity and magnetism, and alternative energy sources. The atmospheric science portion will cover Earth's atmosphere and its dynamics, weather patterns, a nd climate. The geology portion will cover surface processes, plate tectonics, rock types, and mineral resources.Laboratory is included. Prerequisities:
