CHEM 1200 — Introduction to Chemistry
| Lecture/Lab This course is an introduction to chemistry for students who have never taken a chemistry cours e. Topics include measurement, energy, atomic structure, chemical bonds, chemical re -actions, stoichiometry, nuclear chemistry, gases, solutions, acids and bases, organic chemistry and topics related to environmental concerns. Laboratory emphasizes observation, data collection and report writing. Introduction to Chemistry is intended for non-science majors and may serve as preparation for General Chemistry 1.
