BIOL 1340 — Ecology of Northern Minnesota

| Lecture/Lab Explore the ecology of Northern Minnesota's coniferous fo rest biome, which includes the Boundary Waters, Voyageurs National Park, the Iron Range, and surrounding state and national forests. Ecological processes at the population, community, and ecosystem levels will be introduced, along with biodiversity and ada ptations of organisms on land and in water. Students will use ecological principles to inform their analysis of environmental issues in the region, including recreation, resource use, and effects of climate change. MNTC Goal Area(s): 03, 10
