ADDS 2222 — Practicum 2

| Internship The course is designed to equip the student with the intellectual tools and core counseling skills necessary to become an effective addictions counselor. It is during this practicum phase that the student has the opportunity to practice and further develop these skills under the supervision of a licensed alcohol and drug counselor at an approved practicum site. A weekly seminar to discuss the field experience is also required. Five credits may be taken in each of two sequential semesters totaling t en credits -- requiring 880 total hours.
