Phlebotomy Technician
The Phlebotomy Technician program provides students with the trai ning necessary for employment and advancement in the health care field. Upon satisf actory completion of the classroom training at the college, each student is assigned to an affiliating clinical site for five weeks of daytime phlebotomy clinical experience. During this period, the student performs phlebotomy and other related procedures under the direct supervision of a medical laboratory technician or technologist. Graduates of the one-semester Phlebotomy Technician program are eligible to take the Board of Ce rtification examination of the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
