MUSC1115 — America's Musical Heritage
Meets MnTC Goal Areas 6 and 7. This survey course for the general college student introduces the elements, struc - tural designs and historical styles of music. Emphasis is placed on expansion of listening skills, musical experiences, field research and cultural contexts of American music styles, including jazz, country, R&B, hip hop, rap, salsa, reggae and urban folk styles.
