    "description": "The Nail Technician program is designed to give students a thorough knowledge of dermatology, the structure, growth and health of the nail, and chemistry as it relates to manicuring as well as sanitation and safety procedures related to the practice of manicuring. Instruction will cover applied studies and skills in cleaning, conditioning, s haping, reinforcing, coloring and enhancing nails, as well as the application and repair of artificial nails. The Board of Cosmetology, which is the cosmetology licensing body, requires 350 hours of clinical time in order to become licensed in Minnesota. Upon completion of 350 hours and passing of the state exam, a license will be issued.",

    "description": "The Phlebotomy Technician program provides students with the trai ning necessary for employment and advancement in the health care field. Upon satisf actory completion of the classroom training at the college, each student is assigned to an affiliating clinical site for five weeks of daytime phlebotomy clinical experience. During this period, the student performs phlebotomy and other related procedures under the direct supervision of a medical laboratory technician or technologist. Graduates of the one-semester Phlebotomy Technician program are eligible to take the Board of Ce rtification examination of the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).",
