EMTL 1520 — Emergency Medical Technician(EMT) I

Emergency Medical Technician I is the first of a two-course offering designed for successful completion of an EMT Course following the National EMS Educational Standards and Guidelines. The course is the first component in the training that provides basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care and transportation as a component of a comprehensive EMS response team. This emergency medical course includes the following modules: Preparatory, Airway Management, Patient Assessment, Pharmacology, and Trauma. Upon successful completion of EMTL 1520 EMT I students must complete EMTL 1530 EMT II to successfully complete the entire EMT course of training. Successful completion of both EMTL 1520 and 1530 allows eligibility for the National Registry written and practical exams. Students may apply for state licensure after earning National Registry certification. Course Fee $145.00
