CELSD627 — Public Speaking
When it comes to speaking at a formal meeting, or, worse still, giving a presentation before a group of people, some of us face a confidence crisis. The New York Times Book of Lists cites public speaking ahead of death in the top 10 things people fear most. Others have no particular fear of speaking in public, but are not prepared to put in the work that is necessary to do the job properly, or don't know how to structure a presentation that gets the point across and achieves the desired result. How do you structure an effective presentation? How do you use your best visual aid - YOU - to project confidence, not fear? Using the skills taught in this session could have a marked influence on the way you communicate in public speaking situations.
