IDT 2243 - American Sign Language III IDT 2243 - American Sign Language III This course builds on skills and knowledge obtained in ASL I and II. It is designed to promote prosody in sign production. It will offer an advanced study of mouth morphemes, discourse levels, and introduce ASL features, such as the 7 expansion techniques. This course will continue to expose students to Deaf Culture and emphasize social practices when interacting with Deaf individuals. Students should be able to demonstrate intermediate to intermediate plus level conversational skills. (3,2,2)
