VACA1200 — Sound for Film

4.5 credits · 4.5 hours

4.5 Credits Students study the use of sound as a part of the storytelling process of film and video production. Students will approach audio recording, editing, and mixing from a digital cinema perspective. Students explore audio capture techniques for on-location sound, create foley sound effects, record and edit replacement dialogue, and develop multi-track soundscapes for a variety of moving image projects.

Prerequisites: VACA1020, PHOT1500
