TTEN1010 — Automotive Electrical Systems 1-TOYOTA

7.0 Credits This is the first of two courses focusing on electrical and electronic systems for T-TEN students. Electrical theory, circuits, and devices such as batteries, starters, alternators and test meters will be covered. The identification of different types of circuits and how they work, including the application of Ohm’s law to demonstrate the relationship between current, voltage and resistance is also covered. All concepts discussed in the classroom will be reinforced in lab. The integration of applied mathematics, chemistry, physics, and other scientific concepts is a large portion of this course. Practical skills established include: component identification, wiring techniques, test equipment usage, fault diagnostic strategies, safety practices, and appropriate work habits. Toyota curriculum is infused to meet the requirements of T-TEN course T206A. Instructor approval required. 5 lecture, 6 lab hrs/day. (15 day course 120 ). 0
