Variable Credits Students cultivate skills in scientific, critical, and creative thinking, in communication, in cultural awareness, and in information literacy by grappling with questions that invite special inquiry-questions about religious or political controversies, mathematical logic, cultural values, medical or environmental ethics, social theory, the foundations of scientific method, legal theory, or justice.
