6.0 Credits This course builds on NURS 1110 to apply knowledge, skills and abilities associated with intermediate nursing practice. Application of physiologic integrity, psychosocial integrity, and health promotion/maintenance are presented. The nursing process provides the framework to build on critical thinking and reasoning; integrating nursing theory with care of clients and families. The topics include fluid and electrolyte balance, respiratory, renal and gastrointestinal disorders. Intravenous (IV) and central line principles will be discussed and demonstrated in laboratory setting. This course has didactic, laboratory skills and clinical components. 0
