LAWS1504 — Immigration and Employment

4.5 Credits Students learn the most common statutes of the Immigration and National Act and federal regulations for sponsoring employees for immigrant visas (i.e., lawful permanent residence, or “green card”) and for nonimmigrant (temporary) working visas. Topics include an overview of employment-based immigration, the labor certification process, consular processing, labor condition attestations, the visa bulletin and the quota system, and employment eligibility verification. Enrollment in this course does not qualify any person to engage in the practice of immigration law without a law license. 5
