LAWS1501 — Immigration Regulatory Agencies

4.5 Credits Students learn about the federal agencies involved in immigration, law, policy, and procedure, including U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Department of Labor, and U.S. Department of State. It also provides an overview of the role of the U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Attorney General, and the Executive Office of Immigration Review, which conducts immigration court proceedings, appellate reviews, and administrative hearings. Enrollment in the course does not qualify any person to engage in the practice of immigration law. 5
