INTD1520 — Sustainable Design for Interiors
4.5 Credits Students gain a comprehensive introduction to the elements and principles of sustainable interior design. Topics include: eco-friendly product selection, lighting, biophilic design, indoor air quality, green building standards (LEED, WELL, LBC), regeneration and resiliency, and designing for human health and wellbeing. Additionally, this course explores career opportunities in sustainable design, and provides a foundation for professional accreditation in green building certification programs. Throughout the course, students learn practical information and develop the skills necessary to confront pressing issues of today, and to design our future consciously and sustainably. 5
