INFO1000 — Workplace Skills for It Professionals

4.5 Credits Students seeking a career in Information Technology will experience multiple opportunities to apply Nebraska Career Readiness Standards including developing interpersonal skills, working in teams, practicing effective communication skills, and utilizing problem-solving techniques. Students will gain knowledge in establishing a personal brand, skills in networking, and develop a professional career portfolio which will include an industry-specific resume, work projects, and accomplishments. Students will also be introduced to IT industry work expectations, job search strategies and the responsible use of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), as workplace productivity and career development tools.
