4.5 Credits Students gain a solid foundation of medical terminology through the introduction of prefixes, suffixes, word roots, abbreviations, terms, and symbols. It emphasizes understanding the medical vocabulary as it applies to the anatomy, physiology, pathology, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic procedures of the human body. Students participate in an in-depth study of medical terms, including correct spelling and pronunciation, in order to be prepared to enter their professions in the healthcare field.
