HIMS1005 — Introduction to Electronic Health Records

4.5 Credits Students learn about the core concepts and features of electronic health record systems (EHRs). Students gain an awareness of how the EHR supports efficiencies and accuracy within both inpatient and outpatient facilities, and how EHRs contribute to the goals of increased patient safety and security. Students work in an online simulated system to gain hands-on experience in the navigation of a variety of EHR applications.
