EMSP1110 — Advanced EMT
12 Credits This course is part 1 of a sequence of 2 courses in the Advanced EMT (AEMT) program that must be completed consecutively. This course provides the AEMT’s role and the unique aspects of the profession, such as an overview of EMS systems, the importance of personal well-being, and introduction to ethics and medical/legal issues. The module also provides the understanding of general principles of anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, medication administration, intravenous access, airway management basic and advanced, patient assessment, and introduction to respiratory emergencies and management.
